Tips for accuracy

Use a soft, flexible measuring tape.
Lay out a similar pant you own with the waistband aligned and the legs smoothed straight (no creases).
Take each measurement twice to confirm consistency.

Length: Place the zero mark of the tape at the very top of the waistband. Run the tape straight down the outside of the leg to the bottom of the hem.

Waist: Place the measuring tape near the belly button around your waist. Relax and do not pull in your stomach.

Hips: Stand with your feet together and place the measuring tape around the widest part of your hips.
